Taste of Italy a Huge Success

Posted by: Chelsea Badeau on Sat, Jun 11, 2011

The Taste of Italy Dinner and Silent Auction on May 22nd was a wonderful evening of fun and fellowship, and also netted close to $10,000 for the repair of the tower! Every seat in the house was full and there was something for everyone: raffles and silent auction items of every kind, plus the excitement of a live auction for a couple of vacation get-a-ways. The food was fabulous and everything went like clockwork. Click to read more.

Congratulations to the Committee, chaired by Mary Moorhouse, and to all who helped make the evening a success. Many, many hours were spent planning and preparing the four-course meal; arranging and decorating the hall; soliciting and organizing auction items; publicizing the event and attending to a myriad of details.

Thank you to all the members and friends who worked so hard and so creatively – too many to name! Thank you also to all who donated items, supplied materials and bought tickets.

Along with the generous pledges and donations already received by the Renewal Campaign, we are fast approaching the $400,000 goal for restoring our buildings for mission and ministry. We give thanks to God for the Spirit working among us as we seek to “proclaim God’s love fearlessly to all” from this place.
