Sunday School Starts Soon, Serving Sundaes

It may not seem like summer is almost over, but this is the last Shout before we kick off the fall Sunday School Program, so we want all parents to get ready. We will have a Kick-Off celebration at coffee hour on Sunday, September 9, which will include ice cream sundaes, and we will be asking parents to sign their kids up for Sunday School. (Sign up is not a requirement; it’s just helpful to us to have the names and contact information for children who will likely be attending.) Once again this year, the kids will be singing at Stapeley retirement home from time to time, and practicing with Alvina Ransaw once a month. We are currently planning on having the first rehearsal on September 9. Full Sunday School will start the following week. If you can’t make it on Sept. 9, but would like us to know your child is interested in Sunday School, please email one of the Christian Education Committee co-chairs: Evan Meyer (evan.meyer@phila.gov) or June Cairns (jmc1156@yahoo.com).
