Renewal Campaign Has Launched!

Posted by: Chelsea Badeau on Tue, Sep 14, 2010

On Sunday, September 12th, we launched the Renewal (Capital) Campaign to restore our buildings for mission and ministry. On that day we had a short program after worship explaining the scope of the campaign and inviting everyone’s participation and a festive coffee hour. Of course, the sermon was on the call to stewardship – and the excitement and joy it brings. We are NOT asking you to fill out a pledge card or give money right. In fact, we want you to wait. We’ll be asking you to consider your pledge to the renewal campaign along with your regular stewardship commitment for 2011, and to return both pledges on or before October 31. (You will receive a packet in the mail the week of September 19th). In the meantime, every Sunday, we’ll have a Moment for Mission and bulletin inserts on the ministries of Summit and its Vision for the future. We’ll be hosting a Coffee Hour with the Treasurer on October 3rd, where you can ask your questions and have reports explained. We’ll also be asking if a member of the Renewal Campaign may speak with you on the phone or in person; not to pressure you to give, but to share more about the goal and purpose of the campaign, and to answer any questions you may have.
