Lois Gaskins Honored at NIM Annual Assembly

Each spring, NIM holds an Annual Assembly, gathering together NIM congregations and institutions to lift up people who have been of special service to the community. This year the Summit honoree is Deacon Lois Gaskins, who has worked as a “bridge builder” (this year’s theme) across generations and faith communities.

Each spring, NIM holds an Annual Assembly, gathering together NIM congregations and institutions to lift up people who have been of special service to the community.  This year the Summit honoree is Deacon Lois Gaskins, who has worked as a “bridge builder” (this year’s theme) across generations and faith communities.  Most recently she has helped establish several Elder Diner programs, serves on the REACH board,  volunteers at the Germantown Avenue Crisis Ministry and is coordinating the oral history project, The Jewels of Summit,  as part of our anniversary project.
