With the deregulation of electricity, consumers now choose their electricity providers. Among those providers are companies which promise “Renewable” or “Green” energy. What does this mean? Does it really help the environment? How do you choose between these companies? What‟s involved with making a switch? On Epiphany Sunday, January 8th, the Stewardship of Creation Committee has invited Ms. Joy Bergey, Federal Policy Manager for the environmental organization PennFuture, to speak with us about clean electricity. She‟ll explain the basics, and also provide informa-tion and guidance for those who wish to choose a renewable energy provider. Joy will give the Moment for Mission during worship, and then lead a workshop in the parlor during coffee hour. All are welcome.
