Hosting Homeless Families

Posted by: Chelsea Badeau on Mon, Apr 27, 2009

I want to thank those who took the time to prepare and serve dinners. Your home cooking was greatly appreciated by our guests. My gratitude goes to those who were willing to try something new and sleep overnight and were pleased to find that they spent a comfortable night.

“What a terrific group!” “They were inspiring!” “The children were so polite!” “I slept very well.” These are just a few of the comments heard from Summit members in reference to their experiences as hosts to local homeless families at the Mennonite Church last month. All agreed that it was a very rewarding experience and all were impressed by four strong, courageous mothers, who are raising their children under difficult circumstances.

We’ll be hosting again in October, so consider giving it a try.
