There are many “bite-sized” opportunities to support one of our most important and downright fun ministries – a Tuesday luncheon in the parlor (12:00-1:30), for people in the church and community 60 and over.
1. Help out on Tuesday morning. Come at 10:30 and help the cook of the day set the table, bring food from the kitchen, or tend a boiling pot. Even if you can only volunteer once a month – or on occasion – your presence will make a big difference.
2. Cook a main dish. A pot of chili, baked ziti, soup, mac & cheese or any favorite recipe (or one from the back of the box – hold the salt) is welcome. You can leave it at the church on Sunday or bring it Tuesday morning. We cook for 18-20 light eaters and simple fare is fine. Please call Anne to schedule.
3. Bring dessert, salad, or juice.
4. Serve on a steering committee to plan the future of Elder Diner.
And of course, if you are over 60, you may just come! Contact Anne Glass at (215) 247-9475 to learn more.
