This year Earth Day falls on the second Sunday after Easter, so we will have a celebratory service planned by the Stewardship of Creation Committee that calls us to....rest, as Cheryl will be preaching on the 4th commandment – keeping the Sabbath - in her series, “Commandments for a Hot Planet.” Liturgically, we’ll be joining with other churches in the theme suggested by the National Council of Churches, “A Life of Abundance: Energy and Ethics.” The Sunday School choir will sing. There will also be a Moment for Mission. This is a good Sunday to invite friends who may not ordinarily attend worship but who are interested in environmental issues.
