Capital Campaign Committee Update

Posted by: Chelsea Badeau on Thu, Jul 1, 2010

The Renewal Capital Campaign Committee has been planning for the campaign that will be officially launched on Sunday, September 12th. The Committee and Session will be asking members (and friends) to make a three-year pledge towards the restoration of our buildings, as well as pledge for the mission and ministry of the church in 2011. On Sunday, October 31st, we will ask for all pledge cards to be returned and celebrate! Click to learn more.

Meanwhile, the Committee has:

Prepared a “vision statement” based on input from boards and committees and our recent Mission Study.

Created a brochure and other materials to inform, inspire and offer guidance on pledging.

Set up a record-keeping system.

Under the leadership of Deborah Merritt, held two classes on stewardship.

Given a Moment for Mission on the tower (see above).

Held an event for the Session, Deacons and Trustees, who were asked to make advance pledges.

Begun planning for fund-raising events that will take place after the pledge/stewardship part of the campaign.
