The undercroft (church word for basement) underneath the fellowship hall has been transformed! Through the hard work of Lori Springer, A.J. Chaffers, Carl Shaifer, Jim Arthur and Hector, Todd and Aaron Badeau, along with REACH volunteers from outside of Summit, the undercroft has been con-verted from a mildly scary storage space into a brightly painted, clean and welcoming room for youth (and other folks).
There are pool and hockey tables, sofas and wonderful wooden benches (built by Jim Arthur) along the walls. The stairs from the kitchen, and the room at the bottom, have also been brightened with new floor tiles and fresh paint. The youth love their new space, and it is also safer and bigger than the room they had been using. Please pay a visit, and thank you to all who put in so much time and elbow grease to support our mission to neighborhood teens.
