On Saturday morning, September 22nd, Summit members will have a chance for hands-on ministry repairing a home in Philadelphia. The Other Carpenter brings together folks to help repair homes in low-income areas. Work begins at 9:00 at the office of the Other Carpenter, 4157 West Girard Ave and lasts until 1:00 p.m. with no lunch. Wear work clothes and bring gloves, all tools are provided. David Heaton, director of the program, gave a Moment for Mission in June and this well-established and well organized program is associated with Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. Jeffrey Heaton is keeping the list of people who are interested: please call him at 215-983-5101 no later than Thursday, September 13th (or you may email Cheryl in the office, cpyrch@summitpres.net). Thanks to Jeffrey for putting us in touch with this wonderful project!
