This year the leadership has cleared the church calendar on Wednesday nights: rather than board meetings, Wednesdays will be open for study and devotions. Our first study will be the Gospel of Matthew, which becomes the focus of the lectionary beginning in December. We’ll study its background and hear from scholars, but mostly we’ll be listening for God’s Word as it comes to us through this sacred scripture. We’ll use study guides so all may participate. Please let the office know if you will join us, and plan on coming every week if at all possible. Summer homework: read the gospel once from start to finish, and come with questions!
