Lectionary Bible Study Wednesdays, 7:30-8:45 pm January 12 – March 2, Led by Cheryl Pyrch

A lectionary is a cycle of Bible readings used by the church for preaching and teaching. At Summit, we use a 3-year cycle called the “Revised Common Lectionary” which has four readings each week: a psalm, a reading from another section of the Old Testament, a passage from one of the New Testament letters and reading from a gospel. (We use two of the readings in worship). In this study we’ll look at the passages for the upcoming Sunday and briefly discuss their background, see how they fit together, explore questions and pray with them. Lectionary study is a good way to prepare and deepen your worship experience. Please speak to Cheryl if you have any questions. All welcome.
